Cygnets Kingston offers a variety of services such as Term Time Classes, Holiday Workshops, Private Tuition, Birthday Parties, Home Classes and Day Trips.
Our classes are taught by experienced artist-teachers in a step-by-step, enjoyable way that children can understand and take beyond the classes. Students have the chance to experience an enormous range of techniques such as: drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and clay, incorporated into our unique projects. We place a huge importance on quality materials, and reference to art history throughout.
In 2015, Cygnets opened its first school in Kingston upon Thames, and a second branch was opened not long after in nearby Richmond. In 2019, Cygnets opened its doors to potential franchisees, giving creatives and entrepreneurs across the country the chance to open their own Cygnets Art School!
Cygnets is a children's art school franchise based in the UK. Our focus is on the teaching of traditional skills such as drawing, painting and sculpture, combined with unique projects; experienced teachers, and professional quality materials.
The school was founded by married artists Tabby and Hessy. They are both based in Kingston upon Thames, where they live on a houseboat with their dog Badger. Cygnets work with a small number of carefully-selected teachers, who are all DBS checked and talented artists in a variety of mediums.
Tabby studied illustration at Central Saint Martins Art College and now works as a freelance illustrator for clients such as Quercus Books and Bristol Zoo. James studied Fine Art at Kingston University and works as a successful printmaker. With well over a decade of teaching experience between them, they are endlessly passionate about teaching children's art in new and exciting ways.
